Hello, all.
I know you don't really know until you actually try a load in your gun...but, is there a tremendous preformance difference between 3" and 3.5" shells (#5 shot in particular)?
Also, Winchester Lone Beards XR 3.5" shells seem a little longer than other 3.5" shells. Has anyone run into cycling problems with autos? I know they have a plastic cap on top of the load, but I wasn't sure how long the crimp is and is it would cause any issue.
Thanks!
Steve
The only real difference is recoil. The 3" have patterned better in my evaluations.
Thanks,
Clark
Thank you, Clark!
My 3.5 970 shoots way more than you need in the ten. So dose the 3".
Thanks, Gooserbat!
I shoot longbeards 3.5 #5 out of a browning silver. They cycle just fine out of it..
Talkem into given up!!!
Never had any cycling issues out with the 3.5" - Someone said the only reason we shoot 3.5" is because they don't make them in 4" lol
Seriously I guess either 3" or 3.5" are great - boils down to personal preference - I personally like having the extra shot in the 3.5" just in case I mess up...
No cycling issues out of SBE. Flings them pretty far actually. I don't care how much it kicks, if I have the option of more pellets, I'm taking it every day of the week.
Thank you, guys!
