Post by: jlewis4390 on April 07, 2015, 06:12:15 PM
I have a strut n rut anodized aluminum over glass and am new to hunting but love looks and sound clips of glass over glass  calls ....what does everyone prefer ? Any down sides by switching from anodized aluminum to glass ?

Why switch? Just buy another call. Some aluminums can be tough to run and scratchy by some callers. Less of that on glass or Crystal in my opinion. You can do everything but gobble on either one

Both sound good, but IMO, I like a glass surface better. I plays easier and has a bit more character in the sound than an aluminum call dose. It's a little easier to play it softer without loosing a lot of the sound quality. Just my  :z-twocents:.

Glass over aluminium for me also. Have a lonzo glass in a birdseye maple I got from midwest that is real nice. Should have an outlaw hen showing up before long as well. Only have one aluminium and it never makes the veat.

Really like the sound of a good glass/glass pot.
