Title: Turkey Thugs waist pack initial thoughts.
Post by: deerbasshunter3 on April 07, 2015, 04:46:00 PM
I just bought the Turkey Thugs waist pack today. I gotta be honest, I am kind of regretting it. Just from wearing it empty, it is hard to sit down with it on. I guess if you are not trying to dig through it while sitting down, it will be ok. I am hoping it will work better in full use on Friday.

I bought one at Walmart on clearance a few years ago and use it with my rain calls when I don't want to take my good calls and vest out on the rain.

Do you find that it is kind of hard to sit down comfortably with it on?

I have one but decided to stick with my vest. I'd like to see someone get a 12 gauge shell in one of the shell loops. Maybe a twenty or 410.

That is actually what I figured I might do. It will only take a second to unbuckle it and I don't think it would take any more movement to get something from it than it would to get something from a vest.

I'm not familiar with the Turkey Thugs waist pack, but I've used the Beard Buster Belt for many years and I love it!! I've added a few pouches to it to haul more stuff. I always take it off before sitting down. It only takes one hand and a couple of seconds to do so. Much more comfortable than a hot vest down here in Dixie.

I have a similar pack and I don't care for it when sitting. So much so, I don't use it anymore.
