Title: What can I learn from this?
Post by: deerbasshunter3 on April 06, 2015, 10:03:52 PM
The moons aligned today and I got a chance to get in the woods for a couple of hours. I saw a hen and what I assume was a jake. I believe the jake was chasing the hen (?) because the hen almost ran across the field and the jake was not far behind, but not in such a hurry. A little after that I had a gobbler answering me from a distance. I feel like he was making his way to me, but I had to go to relieve father and mother-in-law of baby duties. I am not 100% sure he was coming to me, but it sounded like it.

Anything I can take from this other than a little experience in the turkey woods?

Next time leave your cell phone at home, so that they cannot call you.

Haha! Prearranged relief.
