Title: WTB lohman longshot .680
Post by: old3toe on April 03, 2015, 06:36:04 PM
Hey guys I thought someone might have an old lohman longshot .680 choke tube for an .835 they could part with. I'd like to try it out with Some lead loads in my mossberg.

I've got one I'd let you borrow if you live close enough.  I'm in central Kentucky.

I was in Whitaker's gun store near Owensboro 2 years ago and found 2 Lohman long shot chokes for 835 there.  They were asking $40 a piece so I didn't buy one, but they may still be there.

Thanks for the headsup. I love going there. That seems a little high but I guess considering they're no longer made it isn't so bad for a new one. I'll see what they have.

I found mine on ebay.  It doesn't pattern nearly as well as my indian creek or Star Dot, but it's unique and hard to find so I keep it in my collection.

That's what I was wondering. How does it do with 4 shot? Just never know what will throw a super pattern with all the chokes new and old and all the different shot sizes, brands, lengths, shot material etc.lol I'd love to find something that'll throw super patterns with some of the cheaper 3" 4 shot loads or even 2 3/4" 5 shot loads. I know there's some combos out there.
