Tomorrow is the start of the 2 day WI Learn to Hunt. This morning I was able to see/hear 23 different male birds and a pile of hens. I have two blinds set up for my buddy and I to take 2 young boys. One is where a tom and 7 hens were feeding right away and the other is where 2 toms and 10 hens were feeding. We shot the guns last night and saw a flock of 5 toms/jakes and 12 hens so they are excited and ready to hunt. I hope I can work my magic and pull a flock into range for my young man.
Good luck. Hopefully we get to hear some success stories soon.
Good luck brother

Hello Wisconsinteacher. I'm just curious, where are you located in WI? I just came back from LaCrosse, actually Ft McCoy, and did some scouting and found no signs of life. I've been to Ft McCoy a few times and never saw a deer or turkey, although I've found some deer tracks last December. I would have bet anything that I would have seen some birds with all the farm country in the vicinity of Ft McCoy. Good luck to you.
