Title: Northeast Alabama
Post by: Triple Gobble on April 01, 2015, 03:50:18 PM
Just got back from a few days of hunting
On the Talladega last week.  We killed 2
Birds, the birds were still flocked up, not
Responding to calling that well and the
Weather was cold, cold and windy.  I think
From not ever seeing that land before, because
I'm from Arkansas, and the weather, and
The stage the turkeys were in when we were
There, it was a successful trip I would say!!!
I got one, buddy got one, and other buddy
That went missed one.  It ought to be on
Fire there by next week!!! Had a great time, and
The Alabama people were super nice to this
Out of stater.  We will be back!!!

Where at on the nf did you hunt if you don't mind me asking. Im heading up on cheaha mt. After work in a couple of hours I'll probably hunt it all weekend. I grew up in this area but never really turkey hunted it. They run dogs alot during deer season so I guess I've never gave it a chance. Good to know there's some activity going on though and congratulations on the public land bird. I know on the wma I hunt they're not easy to come by.

A bird apiece in a few days hunting is good anywhere, but especially in AL.
