Still tough hunting around here. Gobbling on the roost and then shutting down and leaving quietly with hens. It's still early but they should be breaking loose soon. Looking forward to getting after him in the morning. Hunting a private farm with little pressure.  :z-guntootsmiley:

Not sure what went wrong Sunday AM. It was cool with a little breeze, the crows were fired up, thunder all morning, and  NO gobbles. I did call up 3 hens into my lap that made a big scene, but I didn't bring in a gobbler or hear him sound off. Ready for this "early season" lack of vocalization to be over with...
