When owl or crow calls don't seem to work, what's the first locator call you try next and what's your average of success with it?

I have a big bell mounted in the bed of my pickup.  I make the little woman go with me and sit in the truck.  Her orders are to ring it loudly one time every thirty minutes.

I go from owl hoot to turkey call. That said, I've had plenty of birds gobble to an owl hoot at 10:00 am.
