Title: Franchi Intensity Owners
Post by: Chilly on March 25, 2015, 08:33:38 AM
I'm thinking about getting a Franchi Intensity.  If you have one, do you mind sharing likes or dislikes of it.  Also, any load \ choke recommendations as well.
Thanks

I don't have an Intensity but did recently buy an Affinity.  I bought it primarily for waterfowl hunting and upland and clays secondary.  I will eventually use it as a b/u turkey gun but for now my 870 is my b/u to my Mossberg 835 turkey killer.

Back to Franchi, and my Affinity.  I love this gun and as for wing shooting it is fantastic.  I love the recoil pad system and shims they have and actually adjusted my lop to 15" which is the max I believe.  I'm 6'3" and have long arms.  This gun fits me like a glove.  Not as critical with a turkey gun but I can assure you a well fitted turkey gun will be more pleasant to pattern and even take that one shot with than a gun that doesn't fit right.  As for mechanics, no malfunctions with 2 3/4" target loads and then heavy game loads.  Have not fired 3" shells yet though but not concerned.  haven't heard a bad  thing about them and wouldn't hesitate to buy an Intensity.  I only chose the affinity as I do not need to or plan on shooting 3 1/2" through it.

Thank you for your response.  I also have an affinity except in a 20 gauge.  I absolutely love it.  I don't mind shooting 3.5" I just want it to be reliable and pattern well.   I love the way they feel.  Clark gave me some advice on chokes.  Thanks again.
