Saturday was a washout for us. We hunted the morning, but with all the rain, they just weren't active and cooperating, so we all went to camp and cooked a meal to befit a king and drank copious amounts of adult beverages.
Sunday morning was a totally different day! This bird hung up behind me for a while, so I went silent on him..10 minutes later and he showed up in full strut. Good bird for this rough country 10.5" beard and had one spur 1.25", the other had been worn down or broke off previously.
Gonna give these birds a few weeks to get into the swing of things a bit more as the gobblers are still running together and the hens are not vocal.
