obviously some combos are better for soft, and some are better at loud but if you were saying bird at 100yds pull one pot and striker from your vest that will call that bird in. I would reach for my mad hen gen 1 and macassar striker or yellowheart.

A Champion choice hybrid glass with a dymonwood striker. Sadler makes a great call, looks just as good as it works.

Sneed Outlaw Hen Green Glass with Fowler Dymondwood - I have a pile of very good pot calls but the Outlaw Hen is the one I would never go without !  It's the real deal !

I have my vest set up with 3 pot calls/strikers that I have the most confidence in. I do have more pot calls but these are the three that I'm carrying right now:
1. Platz maple slate with Gresser snakewood striker
2. Yingling copper with fiber rod striker
3. Shaeffer Atomic 13 with diamondwood striker

I also carry a locust & tulipwood of Larry Gresser's & a Lyman persimmon & diamondwood.

Mine are my Crystal Mistress with a 2 piece ebony striker and my Platz Cherry slate with a woodhaven laminated birch striker.  Chuck

                         Raw aircraft aluminum w/ a laminated striker. (this aluminum is thicker and more responsive, at least in my experiance ):z-twocents:
