We down and got some English Walnut gun stock material with Matt. This blank was one of the smaller forearm blanks. Got some wood that I think will be as good if not better looking. Been working on this call while waiting on some wood to get in. I put a Snakewood lid on it for right now going in the morning to see how she sounds in the woods.

If I can keep Matt from buying it all Yep. This call is not super loud like most of the calls I build BUT
About and hour ago I was on the phone with Doug Morgan in MS and I called in 2 long breads and there were over a dozen Jakes with them. I was calling and they were gobbling and he was laughing. Trying to get me to send the call to him. Like I said the call doesn't get super loud but has great tone to it. The gobblers like it. The gobbled probably atleast 50 times and got to with 40 yards. The first birds I called to were in a field behind one of them mock villages. There was 6 strut'er and about 40 other birds. I drove around the corner and got out and called at them and theses the 2 Tom and Jakes were behind me and they had me trapped. The truck was between us. I put the phone on speaker and let him listen to the show. They came out into the road and didn't like that truck setting there. I know where to put my Military buddy next weekend. I'll be with the Grand Daughter on a youth hunt.
Beautiful call Richard!!
Don't let anyone talk you out of that box!!!
;)
Sweet looking hen box Richard!
