Title: Buying a mouth call off of eBay.
Post by: deerbasshunter3 on March 10, 2015, 09:11:51 PM
I have been looking at the Dead End batwing cut 2 reed mouth call because it is made for purring and clucking, something I am struggling with with my calls. I found one on eBay.

Call me crazy but does it seem, I don't know, disgusting to buy a mouth call off of eBay? It says it is brand new, but the picture is of it outside of the box.

Just seems strange to me but I am new to the turkey game, so what do I know?

Buddy. Leave that alone. Go straight to Dead End Game Calls website and order directly from them. I'm on their Pro Staff and if you'll put in kcurrin at checkout, you'll get a 5% discount on me. Also, if you spend $50 with them, you will be entered into a drawing for a fully guided turkey hunt. These guys are awesome to deal with and they will fill your order very fast.

How much are you really saving vs buying it new?
If you are that hard up go for it and soak that puppy in mouthwash for a few hours.

Not looking to buy one right now (long story involving my wife seeing how much I have spent on turkey stuff) but did see it on eBay and thought it was odd.

I bought a few at the local thrift store! I stayed away from the ones that the reeds were yellow and shriveled up! But the decent ones I bought and soaked them in a little Everclear grain alcohol, 190 proof or a little bit of "the sisters recipe!" (For all you Walton fans!) lol! Gotta love a bargain!

Um. Gross. I can't even joke, mouths are disgusting! Props to dentists everywhere, I couldn't do it.

Seriously, Even "expensive" mouth calls are what?, $12-14??  We (Gooserbat) sell calls on ebay, but they are 100% new in the package!

They're OK if you want that Marlboro flavor...even though you don't smoke.
