I may add paint but I kinda hate to take it off to do so. It was a little aggravating to drive the bolt through it. Other than that I think I am going to love this stock.

I'd leave it black. Looks good. I trimmed out the checkering on my guns when using the camo kit. It makes a more positive grip. Just throwing it out there.
