I had several people ask about some of the holsters I posted on another thread. One that got several questions was made by Keith Smith of Eminence, MO. I am glad to know that Keith is still making them. His are what I call "Old School". They are leather with different burnings on them and lined with wool. And they are priced very reasonable. I got my first one for a longbox that David Ferguson had made me. David is one of the finest box call makers/wood burners out there in my opinion. He is "Old School" also from Eminence. I think David has slowed down some on his call making due to some health issues but hopefully he can get back to doing what he loves. He takes a LOT of pride in carrying on the Eminence call making tradition. Two of the good guys in my opinion.
I added a sound clip under the pic. Nothing like David can play them but you can hear some turkey there even from my old clumsy hands.

Fine combo right there. I was wondering what happened to David. He built me a call a few years back and man do I love that thing. Old school looks, fine turkey talk and fantastic wood burning. I was hoping to get another from him.
I'm glad I got one from David!! It's a great looking call with sound to match!!
I too have one from David... Cedar over Wormy Butternut. It's a player and a beautiful call with his new style gobbler on the lid.
Two great people. I don't have a box call from David but have 2 holsters from Keith and they are very nice.
David is a super nice guy, he got me one of Keith's hoster for a Hen box . I love it, great craftmanship. I need to lay clam to one of those turkey magnets David builds. His calls are simply a Work of Art
Awesome pair!!
