Title: CVA / poor service
Post by: selinoid44 on February 09, 2011, 06:32:07 AM
A guy I work with decided he wanted a 209 primer system in his CVA muzzleloader so he called them. They said 'hey your gun is under recall, send it in and we will replace it'. So he did. They sent the same gun back, unfixed, un touched. He called and complained. They said send it back and they would take care of it. They again said you can expect a new gun. When the package came he had a different gun alright, a CVA with a different serial # in worse shape then the one he sent in to get fixed and still with a #11 primer nipple. He is ticked and fed up. He set it aside and is going to buy something else. Obviously DONE with CVA. I would continue to pursue it till I got my way and at least MY gun back but he said the stress isnt worth it, besides he has already spent enough on shipping. This is just WRONG.

I've never had any trouble with CVA...  i have 3 and all shoot awesome.  I would pursue it...  I would call and talk to a manager, and if that don't help, get online and email the corporate office.  Id be ticked though for sure.

I have a old CVA hawken that I got as a kit gun in the 80's, I have been using it since then, about 5or 6 years ago the trigger assy broke, I contacted them and they had ne ship it to them, they returned it in better shape then new.
I was real impressed with their customer service.

I would call ,e-mail, and write the company and being very polite tell them the problem and tell them the solution you want.
Keep at it and you will eventually get results, a lot like Turkey Hunting
