Title: Mississippi gobbling?
Post by: northms on March 09, 2015, 01:23:49 PM
I'm assuming we had quite a few members take out youth to hunt in MS over the weekend, as I saw a few of the pics.

Anybody have a gobbling report from their time in the woods?  Any others been listening?  Suppose to rain every single day of the work week and then clear out by the weekend.

Not sure how well they'll gobble with a late spring but I'm hopeful.  :OGturkeyhead:

I haven't had a chance to go listening yet, but I did get a report from my wife's uncle that he heard 4 different birds gobble on the roost yesterday mornin. That's in southwest ms. I did scout a little yesterday afternoon and found some strut marks so maybe they will start up soon.

My grandson and I went out last Saturday morning and heard 4 different birds gobble over 30 times between them all. Great morning to be out hunting Mississippi gobblers!

Hunted 10 hours Saturday and didn't hear a thing. Sunday we heard one gobble about 15 times.
