My 12-year old son would like to start collecting a few unique strikers, made from different woods. He wants to know which striker woods will give him what results on ALUMINUM. If you have a certain call maker whose strikers you especially LOVE, please give them a mention.
Thanks so much for your help!
I love my dymondwood striker from hooks, use it on an anodized aluminum woodhaven. Sounds pretty awesome at long distances .
Snakewood you will probably here a lot. I would try Bill Lyman(callmakerman) on here or Larry Gresser
Here is an aluminum call made by Bill Lyman and the strikers I run on it. Top to bottom is a Lyman Snakewood, a Dad's Ebony, and a Fred Cox Blackwood. A short sound clip of the call is under the pics.

WOW! Thank you for the sound file... wish I could call like that :)
Try the same makers posted on your other threads. Good luck!
