This is Ebonized Walnut over Mineral Poplar, It has Holly Inlays..I named her "Back In Black" has that classic walnut and poplar sound..Sounds as good as she looks.You can find all kinds of stuff you forgot you had when you take a day to clean up the shop!!! ROTFLMBO *lol* Thanks Tim

It is Walnut that was chemicaly altered to change the color..I dont know the exact procedure but it makes a gorgeous call, with walnut consistency,

As far as I know he is. I havent seen anyone else have it
It sure makes a fine looking call with the sound of walnut. I have seen pictures of it and I thought it was some natural process and Steve had found the source. Nice to know he can make a bunch of it.

Here's one way I found that wood is darkened in color.
