Title: Striker Pouch
Post by: ncturkeytalk on February 23, 2015, 03:35:50 PM
I saw where someone had made a striker pouch out of an old camo clothes pocket. My son just got out of the Marines and he had some camo pants that he was not going to keep so i took the leg pocket and his name tag off, had the name tag sewn to the flap of the pocket and had the creases of the pocket sewn up to create individual pockets as to say "my son wore his camo so i could wear mine" and this is what he actually wore.

That's cool.

A big Thank you to your son for his service!

Looks great....1 suggestion.  If you can find a bottle of "TearMender" you may think about coating the bottom of the pouch near the striker tips.  It is a fabric glue but it dries with a nice heavy waterproof layer....I put it on the bottom of my striker pouches in my turkey vest and it does a great job of protecting that area on the strikers.
