Title: Is Uwharrie National forest any good for turkeys?
Post by: keppy on February 23, 2015, 03:00:32 PM
Hello, I am new to hunting turkeys and do not have the luxury of private ground to hunt. Has anyone hunted the Uwharrie National Forest NC? If so I just wanted to know if it is worth a try.
     Thanks.

If you're in the right spot it can be real good.
Turkeys can be very localized, the whole NF isn't covered up in birds...
