Gould's is on the book for 2016...now the wait!
Did you book with an outfitter that was at Nashville?
No but the research I did there made me realize references are very important to listen to on this species!
Good luck ,I envy you on this.
Awesome!!! Been looking into outfitters myself. I'll end up going myself all my turkey buddies are to afraid to go down there hunting. Told them you'll be carrying a gun. LOL!!!
Man that sounds like fun! :anim_25:
Going into Mexico for a Goulds hunt is an "adventure" for sure. Just be sure that whoever you use is reputable and will pretty much be taking care of you once you cross the border. Things have supposedly settled down some in Mexico now, but you do need to be careful. There are a lot of regulations in place about hunting down there and also regarding bringing your birds back into the U.S. Make sure your outfitter knows his stuff.
I don't know who you booked through but I went with Wingshooters lodge in 2003 and it was some of the best turkey hunting you could ask for. The food was kick butt as well!
My 2008 trip to Durango for the Goulds was the singular most spectacular hunting adventure of my life.
I hope to go back someday and hunt the Mexican White Tips again.
Good luck and I hope you have a fine adventure!!!

'walk, wash torkey' means 'we are about to walk our butts off and glass for birds' in Calaco's world! What a great trip that was!
That would be awesome, a trip I'd like to make sometime in the next few years. Good luck, can't wait to hear the story of your trip.
