Its official, the turkeys are back in business here in AR. I went out this weekend and they were gobblin, not going crazy yet but sure nuff making some thunder.
Now I just have to wait four more weeks until its time to take a gun to em. Probably going to take the boss' kids out for the youth hunt, just gotta see something put down.
I know you haven't been positive about the home state. Glad to see you'r hearing a few already. For a Southern state you guys seem to have a later season than most.
Hearing birds in MD as well.

It sucks, but our population is down so much right now that the G&F have pushed the season back to allow for breeding to occur before we kill any gobblers. We are too good at killing turkeys in AR and put a big dent in the population. (Really its due to flooding rains for 4 springs in a row decimating the hatch, but hey who's countin?)
There starting to crank up around here also!
