Title: Should I be satisfied?
Post by: yella yelper on February 08, 2015, 06:37:21 PM
3.5" Longbeard #4's through a Primos tight wad and a SBE.  Got 130 with the 4's. Haven't polished the barrel and don't really plan to. Temperature was 60 degrees and barrel is 24".  I haven't bought the choke, just borrowed it. What are your thoughts?

I definitely wouldn't polish the barrel.  130 with 4's is  good in my opinion.

130 with #4's is a turkey killing pattern, nothing else to do, but go hunting

130's with 4's is a killer.

I have deep cleaned chrome lined barrels and had a significant increase. Definitely wouldn't polish a chrome lined barrel.

That's 50% of pellets in the 10" circle at 40 yards.  Not bad for a $20 choke and lead shot huh?

You may get more out of it but how dead is dead.  I would roll with that.

I don't see how deep cleaning it properly
Would make it worse. Heck, clean it up good.
What have u got to lose?
That's a killer for sure, but you may get
150 in 10"?
Who knows?
