Anyone shoot this combination particularly through a remington? I recall seeing some pictures in the patterning forum of this combination and the patterns looked good. I wonder if this may be a good setup as i have read on several occasions folks noting their longbeard wads traveling almost all the way to their 40yd target. The Hevi 13 choke (.662) has wad slowing rings if i remember correctly, haven't actually had one in my hands. I wonder if slowing the wad would improve overall patterns, especially in shorter ranges with longbeards; where guys complain the longbeard pattern is too tight and no room for error. Any ill effects of slowing longbeard wads? i know the flight control wads shouldn't be used with wad catchers. Just thinking out loud. -Andy

One of my buddies uses a Hevi choke in his Mossberg with 3" 4's and 5's Longbeard and the patterns were very strong. I don't recall the 40 yard numbers but I believe the 4's were about 100 in 10" circle. I remember walking to the first target and being shocked at how good it was.
