Title: Sighting in Gobblestopper
Post by: zelmo1 on February 02, 2015, 07:35:06 AM
:begging: I just mounted a gobblestopper on my gun. It looks great but I need to raise my comb to get a comfortable fit. I was looking for a piece of camo neoprene to add to my stock to bring it up. Problem is , I cannot find any material. I don't want to ruin any waders so I am stuck. Anyone have any info on where to get some camo neoprene material. I have double sided tape so I only need the neoprene. Thanks, Al Baker

What about one of these

Or one of these
http://www.godagrip.com/cheek-pads.html

I've never used either but I was considering the godagrip. I think there's a thread on here about them.

I had used a Godagrip shotgun wedge pad on gun and it worked pretty good, but it wasn't quite tall enough for my setup. You might want to check out Accu-Riser also, they make a monte carlo cheek piece that mounts on the comb with screws like a recoil pad. It looks just like the one Mossberg uses on their m500 combo slug/field guns. That is what I'm going to use next time set up with inserts in stock and machine screws so I can easily remove and install as needed like the Mossberg setup. For a quick temporary fix use a piece of small diameter pipe insulation  cut in half and placed over comb and tape in place, couple wraps of electrical tape then cover with some camo tape. I used to do that on shotguns with scopes for deer hunting all the time.
