Title: Which Avian X hen decoy?
Post by: TURKEYWHACKER on January 31, 2015, 04:42:28 AM
Just opened the box last night containing my new Lookout Hen. First of all...WOW. Pictures online and the box itself do not do justice to the realism of this decoy. Well long story short, I want a second hen now. Given the option of the Feeder or Breeder hen which would you choose and why? I already have a semi strut jake and a strutting gobbler if I feel the need to use either. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Feeder. I have the breeder and would like a feeder to give the impression of a relaxed flock.

IDK I have the breeder and kind of want to add the lookout. I got the breeder because I thought it would work good with the strutter. They are definitely nice decoys.

Feeder. Last year I used the breeder hen with their jake and it helped to bring birds in each time I used them. Feeder could add a touch more realism

You could use your look out as a breeder if you ever wanted to. Go with the feeder. Assuming you have a jake, if not get the jake.

Seems like the feeder is the popular vote. I was leaning that way and think it's time to put those gift cards to work. :z-guntootsmiley:

I took the plunge for this spring also, but I got DSD's. I got an upright hen and a feeder hen. They'll make a nice addition to B-Mobile and my realistic jake. I'm gonna epoxy one of the realistic heads off of one of my Cherokee sports hens onto a fold up foam hen for B-Mobile to do his business to.  ;)
