Think I may try 6 shot next, have a little more knock down if I can get a good pattern also

My bad, they 1-1/2 oz loads, my mag blends are 1-1/4

I'd stick with the #7s. They will have more than enough power to shoot out to as far as your pattern will allow.

I second this.  My 12 only puts up about 10 more pellets with HW #7 and it's deadly at any reasonable range.

That's a lot better than my 870 20ga. 21" with a titewad tube. Mine only put up 128 in the 10" at 41 yards. But it was 54*, it might do a little better when it's warmer.

yea, I'm not very technically knowledgable in patterns vs temperature and stuff but it was about 70 degrees when I shot the pattern.

it is 1-1/2 oz, I replied afterward stating I got em mixed up with my mag blends that are 1-1/4

That is the combination that Clark reccomended for my youth 11-87.  With his recommendation and your results, I am eager to try it.
