Slate, glass and aluminum. It will run all of them well for me but I really use it on the aluminum a lot.

Snakewood will run well on any surface. They just aren't cheap. Make sure you don't lay them down when the gobbler comes in.

Got one from Bill Lyman. It runs any surface and will definitely be with me on each hunt.

Call mr.fowler he makes the best snakewood with a Osage top I love it in aluminum or slate
