I have a question for you guys that shoot a .650 sumtoy. I browsed around on the internet for a while and ran across a post on a different forum that said the .650 may be too tight to shoot magnum blend through? I personally don't believe that to be the case but it had me wondering.
I don't believe that's exactly true. It depends on the percentage of constriction. .650 in a ber/Ben threaded gun is TOTALLY different than say an invector plus & the reason is that the bore diameters are totally different. I wouldn't hesitate to shoot mag blend through a supernova (uses ber/Ben chokes) using a .650 because the bore diameter is already smaller.....but the bore diameter is larger in an invector plus gun .....so a .650 would be super, super tight. What kind of gun is it?
x2 on what Drum is saying. I use a .650 Sumtoy in a Benelli and with the magblends it shoots very dense patterns. I haven't noticed any damage to it thus far and it shoots lead very well also. William is great to work with, just tell him what gun, shell and range and he will fix you up! and :welcomeOG:
Its a stoeger. I've already bought the choke. I was just gonna double check with everyone before I shoot it today.
Only trouble you may have is pattern to
tight;)
I shoot a SBE II with a TruGlo SSX .643 and it won't shoot the Mag Blend worth a flip. I can shoot Hevi 3/2/6s or 3/2/7s all day long with great patterns, but the Mag Blend pattern is too open and has irregular holes in it.

We have had good luck with the 650 range. I have never gone any smaller to see. I think the oil has this one all messed up.
It isn't too tight for magblend or the straight 6s.
My Sumtoy .650 is a bad son of a gun.
