On average, how many days do you get to spend turkey hunting each spring? Days spent taking others counts too.
For me it's usually close to 40 sunrises in a few states. Not nearly enough when it's over.
I have to add that schooling is going to steal at least 8 mornings from me. Grrrrr
I hunt just about everyday. Being a police officer and working midnights I put my leave in months early to leave every morning at 4am. Only days I can't is on my scheduled court dates which thankfully is only 2 days out of the whole season. I participate in the Wounded Warrior hunts every year at Quantico Marine Corps Base and usually take my dad and friends out whenever they want to go. I also add in a few days a year in Georgia and North Carolina.
I usually take 2 weeks off each spring. Adding in Saturdays gives me about 18 days of hunting

Everyday that I don't have to take my girls to school (mom works nights but changes her schedule for a month to help out. She is a great woman....) So I would guess about 30 days (hunting NY and PA).

Either chasin gobblers or chasin crappie everyday from mid March to Mid May. At least 20 days if not more.

All I can but it has depended on how fast I filled my local one bird limit. That's often opening day. I usually do one or two other states so I get 8-10 days extra that way.
Now that the grandsons are hunting it should expand my days afield.
Easy answer is as many as I can or it takes to fill my tags and maybe take other people.
Last year I hunted 7 days. I killed three and called in another for a friend.
A couple years ago I hunted over 30 days in 3 states and saw 10 or so go down.

Not nearly enough that's for sure. Because my job usually eats up 6 days a week, I need to burn vacation days to get my fix. this season it looks like about 16 days chasin' the wily Osceola on public land.
This year, and the last 3 years, I've taken off a month and a half off of work to turkey hunt. I just wish I had better opportunities. Can't afford to lease private land in FLA, and it's very hard to get drawn for a decent public hunt down here. Up in SC where my lease is, just finding land to turkey hunt is hard. But I do the best I can with what I have.

Have only a 7 day season and have scheduled 5 full days to hunt.
I probably spend 30-35 days in the woods. About 10-15 of the days, I am hunting. The remainder I am usually guiding someone. I know I'm lucky.
Between taking about 2 to 2 1/2 full weeks off work and being fortunate to hunt most work day mornings before work, I probably average around 30 - 35 days per Spring.

Don't work, so I hunt locally until a bird is taken, then travel to another state.

Between 20 and 30 usualy sometimes its only for a couple hours but sometimes all day.
No matter How much or how little savor your time afield.
I guide in Maryland about 20 days and hunt Va and MD personally so ... about 30 days

In PA, we can only hunt until noon the first half of the season so that limits my time in the woods a lot. I work a regular 5 day week and we cant hunt sundays so I see about 9 to 10 days out. I haven't been out of state for birds yet but Im hoping to change that soon!
I usually get about 10 days of hunting depending on if my dad and I tag out early or not. We usually take a couple of days off from work at the beginning of the season. Being in NY and hunting ending at noon, it pretty much just leaves weekends.

I hunt everyday. Hunting everyday
has really made me a better hunter with no time restraints
its easier to relax and be patient which helps to make better
tactical decisions. I hunt the 6week Louisiana season and try to
make Mississippi, Texas , or Arkansas.
I hunt almost every day. Boy, this retirement sure is tuff!!!

Right now about one or two weeks, but when I retire in March 2016 I hope it all changes. My dream is to hunt like Doc all spring, my past wife that died from cancer understood my passion for that dream. I just hope I pick another good one, got married this spring, just hopping my dream is still a reality.
Everyday that I am not working. I am fortunate enough to be able to self schedule, so I group my working days together that way I will have more time off.

Around 25-30. Broken up over 4 states
Past few years average around 5. This year? I know opening weekend is out and the last weekend is out, and I'll be out of town on business off and on during the weekdays so who knows? Love to turkey hunt but the short season and my schedule don't jive.
Here in MN and neighboring states we have to pick a 5 day season. With work and kid's activities I can rarely take advantage of the full season. However, I try to overlap MN and WI so I can get a good 5-6 days between the two. I volunteer for youth mentor hunts so that gets me another 1.5 days. Every other year (negotiated deal with my wife) I throw in another state so that adds another 3-4 days.
Also, when I hunt I'm in the field all day every day from before sunup until 5-7pm, regardless of weather. On nice days it's about all the great and interesting experiences, many of which have nothing to do with dropping a bird. On ugly days, it's become a personal challenge and test of fortitude, especially on the wet, cold, snowy ones. Some day I'm going to kill a turkey on a day with single digit temps, 35mph winds, and horizontal snow. When I do, I will declare myself the winner over nature! :goofball:
Every blue bird morning and a few foggy or cloudy ones. Very rarely a rainy morning, I used to ambush them in the rain but have nothing for it anymore.
