Title: Lonnie sneed
Post by: jg on January 12, 2015, 09:53:25 AM
Just called Mr.Sneed and ordered the hot hen and his green glass calls. What a nice man, he spent over half hour with me talking turkey, telling me about the calls he makes and demonstrating their awesome sound. I was not expecting the personal attention he gave me. He treated me like we had been friends for years! Just the nicest person you would ever want to know! I was blessed today

Plan some extra time before calling him. Always a great visit. He's a great treasure to our sport and a true gentleman!

Just received my Hot Hen in the mail yesterday.  $40 with the leather cover, $30 without the cover.  Love the call.  Can't wait to try it out on our Michigan public land gobblers this Spring.

I called today and ordered mine while you were there, he said you had recently got back from St Cloud, FL. and told me the same about lots of orders but I should get it in a couple weeks. He told me he couldn't talk to long because he had a customer show up just before I called, and we still talked for over 30 min.  Hes a nice fella to talk with and I'm sure Ill enjoy the call, and after all I've heard I cant wait.

I bought a Hot Hen the other day from a member and couldn't be happier.  I called Mr. Sneed to tell him about it and by the end of the call, I had an Outlaw green glass hen headed my way too.

Such a fine fellow to talk too and a true gentleman!

I am honored to have crossed his path!

Some of you guys should be getting a call in the mail in a few days. I don't know who's calls, just that he had about 35 ready to mail. Good luck to all.  :OGturkeyhead: :OGturkeyhead:

Not sure he is still making them, but if you get his Terminator aluminum you will get two. I have never seen a call in my 34 years of turkey hunting that will set a bird on fire where nothing else will like this call. I had to plead with him to part with the second one.

Recieved my Hot Hen today, which didn't take long at all considering I mailed a M.O, which added time. Very happy with the call, sounds great. A great deal for 24.00, that's right 24.00 , when you consider he pays the 6.00 Priority Shipping, can't beat that for a 24.00 call is the way I look at it, very happy with it and his service.

I think what Cutt meant was that a $30 call minus $6 shipping means the call really only cost $24. If I am not mistaken, Mr. Lonnie's pots are only $30 without the cover and that includes shipping.

Exactly, I paid 30.00 without a cover, but no one ever considers shipping cost, that the buyer normally pays on top of the price. So it actually cost 24.00 is the point I was making.

God made all men but in my opinion he made very few men as good as Lonnie and those are very few and far between.

I will see my Dad and get to hunt with him for the first time in about a year this weekend. He is getting a Hot Hen personalized with his name handed to him as soon as he gets out of the truck. Being also from Wild and Wonderful West Virginia, which he misses everyday, I am sure he is going to grin from ear to ear when he looks the Hot Hen over. I can also guarantee a tear will fall from my eye as he jigs about the woods with me this weekend yelping, purring and putting.

Thanks Lonnie and God Bless.

When I got my Hot Hen, he sent an order form, Terminator was still listed, but the Raspy Boss Hen was crossed off. So I'm hoping, as I just sent money for a Aluminum Terminator and Glass Outlaw Hen.

This week, I did exactly the same thing you did and had exactly the same experience.  It's the first time I've ever talked with a stranger and felt like I was talking to an old friend.  I may never kill a turkey with the calls I ordered, but our 30 minute talk was worth way more than the cost of the calls.  A true gentleman!

Agree with above- my original call to Lonnie was to order Hot Hen slate but after he ran his green glass for me over phone I got both.  Glad I did !  Outlaw Hen Green Glass is such an easy runner, rolls over especially well, and is all turkey. Just something about that green glass that works for me!!

Just got my Hot Hen in the mail today, and I really like it.  The only thing I regret is not getting the Outlaw Hen too!  Kind of "milder" sound than my Twisted Sister is the way I would describe it, but still all turkey.  I'm sure the difference between slate and glass.  Now I just have to wait for my West Augusta strikers to arrive that I ordered for it.
