Title: Flock of Turkey last day of deer season
Post by: kevin2 on January 11, 2015, 01:39:19 PM
I had a late season tag & hunted several days for Turkey this fall, but only saw 1 turkey, one loanly Gobbler on several occasions. Wouldn't come any closer than about 80 yards. Came upon this flock, long after the late season closed & they weren't in any hurry to leave my area. Usually when I've come upon large flocks like this in the winter they bug out fast...but they seemed indifferent to me!

I was checking out this article on late season decoying & thought I'd try it next winter, seemed worth a try, as I've had zero luck and action in the late season...not sure how good it will work. We shall see!
