Title: 870 3" longbeard #6s choke question
Post by: bowbird87 on December 15, 2014, 05:58:36 PM
Ive read a lot on here about the Win longbeard chokes in the mossbergs and some other gun. What chokes are the long barreled 870's liking? Do the Longbeard 6's like a tighter or more open choke?

Have had great results with a 26 inch pipe and a jelly head .660!!!!   In all honesty those shells shoot good in anything.

You may be interested in the "Turkey Choke Evaluation Project" that I'm completing with 30+ turkey chokes and 3" WLB shells with 1.75 oz. of #6 shot.

Rem-choke barrels, like the one on your 870 are included. I hope to have that work completed and article published prior to year-end, if the weather cooperates.

Thanks,
Clark

Put a 650 in it if you want the long rang stuff.  Jump up the 665 if you want all around hunting choke.   :anim_25:
