Title: SSX .550 Patterns still not much better than RemSF .570

All shots were with a Rem 870 20ga Youth with a 21" bbl.  40 Yards

The only big difference was the:

Hevi 13 #7:  SSX (146)   RemSF (109)

The Federal Loads were pretty close.

HW 3" #7:   SSX (139)  RemSF (132)

HW 2 3/4 #7:  SSX (76)  RemSF (75)

With the way your gun patterns both a tight and a looser choke you are in business. The guns I have shot either like tight or loose with the HW..

Pretty decent patterns with the SSX.

It's funny, last year with my 870 with a 28" barrel, I got almost the exact opposite numbers with Hevi 13 #7 and those chokes. The RSF was putting up 130's and the SSX was low 100.  I still haven't had a chance to shoot yet this year.

My 20 likes the h-13 #7 in the SSX about the same as yours. From your shots the SSX H-13 is golden.
