Title: Whackin and stackin the deer. #4 down
Post by: HogBiologist on December 01, 2014, 10:09:39 PM
Got to make another quick afternoon hunt. Was not in the stand more than 30-40 minutes. This 2.5 year old 7 point appeared and the stare down began. He was at 60 or so yards. There is a 4 point on one side rule on the private I hunt. After a little while he looked left and I saw he had 4 on the left. He put his head back down and was still facing me. When he raised back up I was making sure he was ok. He got nervous and steped right. I saw the 4 points again and let he .270 bark. The hornady SST went 60 or so yards. I hit him infront of the left shoulder, clipped the spine, and exited his right shoulder. He went about 2.5 feet. STRAIGHT DOWN. Bang flop. I love that shot. More meat in the freezer.
