Title: Remington sure shot stock
Post by: Walkerz07 on December 01, 2014, 07:21:56 PM
How many of you guys changed your 870 stock out with the remington sure shot thumb hole stock? If so what are y'all's reviews? Thinking of putting one on my 870.

I had 2 guns, both 11-87s with those stocks. A good friend wanted one of those guns, so I let him have it but still have one them with that stock on it. I like it. It fits well and seems to lessen felt recoil some but of course the 11-87 is a very soft shooting gun already.

I did put one on an 870 but took it off to replace it with an ATI adjustable hunting stock which I like better on that gun.

It's a good product and most people that I know who've used them like them.

Thanks,
Clark

Great info thank you very much!! I am in the process of building a turkey gun so I will probably have more question. I am getting ready to send my gun off to Rob Roberts to get the forcing cone lengthened and the pattern analysis with a choke recommended by them, so I am pretty excited to see how it performs when I get it back. I will then start really thinking hard about a stock and maybe some type of optic if necessary.

Love my shurshot stock.  I my only concern was running and gunning.   I did not notice any difference.

Rob does excellent high-quality work. I'm sure you'll be pleased with what he does.

Thanks,

Thanks guys I believe I am sold. I normally get gift cards from the in laws for Christmas so I will probably put those to use on the stock and maybe a few more accessories  for my gun.

My buddy Chris put one on his 870 and really likes it.  I have never personally shot it but have shouldered it and it is very nice.  I think you will be happy and if you do not like it then it will be easy to turn it around and get your money back.  Good Luck!

Love mine! Made the swap last March, after hunting with it I feel as if it was money well spent.

I got a shur shot stock for christmas this year for my 870 supermag. It looks and feels great. My only concern is. Will the different stock cause a change in POI for my pattern? I shoot a Nikon turkeyplex scope mounted on a B-Square mount.
