Well after talking to a good friend of mine. I decide to give my two cousins a call that live south central Kansas near the Oklahoma border about hunting Rios near them. I talked to one and she already lined up one spot the her in-laws just killed two the other day. She is making it sound like they are covered up. She has another possible spot I could try that would be also in zone 6. Her brother is also got me a couple spots in zone 5. I never hunted Kansas before so I'm asking you guys what ya think that hunted it. what is the better zone to hunt of curse this is going to be private land. When is the best time to April or May. I'm leaning towards the 1st of May
I used to hunt near Salina the first weekend of May, we always got into a ton of birds. The only problem is sometimes the feilds may be getting a little tall and the birds didn't hit them as bad.
I'll be around Cherryvale that week. It was on last year at that time.
