With so many call makers today I wonder if its changed threw the years .what do you guys think? I"m not sure my guess more mouth calls are moved cost and user friendly I know some cost but much lesser then a box and slate .And a lot less time to make .
Mouth, then, pot ,box, scratch, tube.
Mouth, Pot, Box, and then it's a regional thing for the others, but locators are likely a solid 4th.
I don't like to use a mouth call but in my opinion there are more of them sold every year by far. They do call in a lot of turkeys. They just don't have the "craftsman's touch". Just my opinion.

Agree completely!!!
Yep I think mouth calls are the rage.....cheap and effective....but it is the craft that makes the hunt...both in the field and in the making of a great turkey call. I can't use a mouth call, so I love my trumpets and pot calls.
