Here's the 8 point I got with my muzzleloader. I was sitting in a stand about 20 yards inside the woods just off an alfalfa field that we have been seeing a lot of doe in. I was standing, facing backwards watching a doe out in that field when I heard some rustling coming through the tall grassy/swampy stuff that's actually in front of the stand but was behind me when I was standing. I turned to see this guys about 25 yards out coming straight at me. I brought the gun up and got the scope on him, but he was still facing straight on. When he got to about 8 yards, he turned broadside and I got on him and shot.
When he took off, I could see he was going very fast at all. I lost him through all of the tall grass, but I thought I could see some movement in the grass about 30 yards away.
I called my dad and he came over. By the time he got there, it was getting pretty dark. I climbed back into the stand and told my dad where the last spot I saw the grass moving was. I had barely made it back down to the bottom of the stand and my dad was yelling that he had found him. The shot was about dead center through the heart.
