Just keeping y'all updated. I haven't heard a bird other than the 6 hens I called up early this morning. I'm still at it though, hopefully ole Tom will sound off shortly. My plan is to sit on this pipeline that runs through a hardwood bottom, with pretty boy and a hen decoy out. Turkeys frequent here fairly regularly. With these birds not saying much, should I do this or do the walk an stop every 100 yards and call tactic? Not 100% sure what to do in this situation. Thanks
If you know that area has good history I'd stick to your original pipeline plan. Especially if it is used as a natural travel route to a roosting site. You might get some birds moving through towards end of day.
If you have any idea where those early hens came from maybe thats a late option for roosting some birds for tomorrow.
Good luck!
