This summer I bought a garage that my Dad and late Uncle Don had used for years as an electric shop to repair coal mine electrical panels as well as anything else they could get into along with some wood working. While cleaning up, I found a block of wood that Dad said they thought was Maple but had difficulty cutting. Soon as I saw it I knew it was Sycamore. I also found some Cherry that Dad bought back in the 70's. The Cherry had started to check a little so he was cutting it up for firewood. I grabbed what I could. I sent the block of Sycamore and some of the Cherry to my friend Frank Kruer. This is what he sent back. A beautiful Cherry over Sycamore short box that sounds excellent. Now no matter what, as long as I carry this call, Dad and Uncle Don will be there with me.
Thanks Frank.
