Title: Winchester Blind Side ammo
Post by: WildSpur on March 19, 2011, 11:16:28 AM
Saw they have a new waterfowl load out using hexagonal steel pellets.  I wonder if they can use the same technology with HTL material for turkey loads?  If they can, that is sure to be a nasty round to get hit by!

They claim they can fit more pellets in a standard wad through the stacking.. With the shape of the pellet, I have to believe that pattern density would be lacking

I looked at some at Mack's PW last fall. They had the first run of those shells before Winchester started advertising them. The guys that worked in the store said they were bad medicine for greenheads.

i thought copper plated lead was a improvement because the shot did not deform and flew better. now improvement is pre deforming the shot. who'd a thunk it::)
