I don't get it. Every turkey hunting show I see shows the hunter running (literally) to the bird after the shot. What ever happened to gun safety. Any reasonable hunter knows that you don't run with a firearm. If you think the bird is going to get up, rack another shell and put the bead back on him. No bird is worth slipping and falling then having your gun shoot you. I do not (DO NOT) get up and run to my bird. I sit and make sure he does not need another shot.
I don't get in a hurry. Even back in my younger days I wasn't as fast as that next load of 6's.
