Had this group of birds hanging around property lately, in total there is 2 hens and 15 poults, wasn't able to get all in same pic together as they were all over the place dusting and picking bugs out of my garden. Good hatch this year, hopefully offsets effects of past winter we had

I had a similar flock in my yard today but couldn't get to the camera in time. 3 hens and 20+ poults of varying size. Saw another hen 2 nights ago with poults the size of grouse, which were much smaller than todays poults.
We also lost birds last winter so these poults are a welcome sight!
That looks great, after some of the declines for the last few years, that many poults per hen is a welcome sight!! :icon_thumright:

That's always nice to see! That's a good hatch of poults. Seen a few here in East TN that have been pretty healthy as well
