Any other opinions?
Not sure what you mean by all weather chalk. You shouldn't be using a normal box call in the rain unless it is covered. I use the red carpenters chalk. Grips better than the other colors.

X2
What I was thinking was that I wanted some humidity figured into the thought, not just perfect conditions. Sorry for the confusion.
If your in a real humid area of the country, the less chalk the better. Chalk absorbs moisture badly, so the less you have on the better. In circumstances like that, a carpenters chalk is a finer grit chalk and will work better for you.
That is good info. Thanks.

I've used all three, couldn't tell the difference. Dixon is what I use now in red or blue colors.
Brown rosin chalk
For 25ยข, I don't know you you can beat the Lynch chalk sold at Wing Supply. I bought 8 sticks of the stuff in another order and had free shipping on some promotion... These are big sticks, and I probably won't use them up in my life-time:

My understanding is that you cannot use chalk-board chalk and many other chalks because it has was or resin in it... It is also my understanding that most of the call chalks and carpenter's chalk is very similar... I would be very interested to know if there is quality differences between chalks, and what those differences might be?
