just shot a 30 yard pattern with #4s
2 oz lead
put 173 out of 266 in a 10" circle
thats 65% of the shot
Opinions please? Is it average, above average or very good.
thanks
Never patterned 4's but that'll make a big mess surely.
i would say your setup likes 4's :icon_thumright:

That is a lot of big lead pellets in a pretty small area. I'd say a turkey would be in trouble if he's out in front of your gun at 30 yards.
Thanks,
Clark

Id say your ready to go. those 4's will lay the smack down.
Do you have pics of the pattern? any holes or was it even. That's all that matters, even dense pattern. High numbers are fun to tinker with, but you can only kill a turkey DEAD.... no such thing as a deader turkey :z-guntootsmiley: :z-guntootsmiley:
Sounds like your good to go at that distance. :icon_thumright:
Please post pic of your pattern if you can, would like to see it, sounds like them birds are in trouble this spring.
That will do!
i would say that that is above average and bordering on exceptional
Sounds like that should work. :icon_thumright:
I will try and post some pics tonight when I get back home. Thanks for the replies.
