Here is a Lamar Williams Red Cedar over Mahogany longbox I just got in a trade with a gentleman this week. Hard to imagine a longbox sounding much better than this one, at least to my ears. Easy to see why Lamar's calls are in great demand.

........... a fine call from a fine gentleman.
That is it in a nutshell right there !!!
CONGRATS on a GREAT call !!!!!!!
The sap wood in the right hand side, bottom, makes it unusual.
I have 30 + of his box calls & 10 paddles, plus some other calls. His are the only friction calls I've ever collected.

Few I just got.
Outstanding.
I have a "few" of Lamar's calls... they are all top shelf..
That hybrid call is awesome.
Couple more I just got in the mail. The scratch boxes were made by his grandson.
