Saturday I killed one, my grandson got his first too. Sunday morning called two in front of my other grandson's barrel but he didn't close the deal.
Took my turkey huntin' buddy out this morning and he filled his tag. He's handicapped and not very mobile at all. Called that danged bird some 500 yards we estimated.
Most of the hens are on the nest now and the birds are still pretty hot. On the way out after today's kill I saw three longbeards and one hen together so not all of those hussies are busy yet.
I have one more trip this season, taking the younger grandson again Sat. I think I know just where to be. ;D
